Cataratas do Iguaçu

Before our group assembled in Buenos Aires, Jim & Pamela and (separately) JC, Bobby, Marta, and Rob visited Iguaçu Falls, north of Buenos Aires where Brazil, Paraguay, and Argentina all come together at the confluence of the Iguaçu and Paraná Rivers.  Rob and Marta were unable to join us for the Patagonia part of our journey but were with us in Buenos Aires.  The picture above only shows a portion of the Falls.  In all there are 275 separate cataracts (falls) stretching over 2.7 kilometers (1.7 miles).  Two thirds of the falls are within Argentina, the rest in Brazil.  (The noise from the falls overwhelmed the camera's microphone, so please turn down the volume when you view the video.)
